Everest Holmes describes a metagenomic study on the effects of Grozome compost extract on corn seedlings. The study demonstrated improved growth in treated vs. untreated seedlings.

Biodiversity in the root zone was also greater in the treated plants. This is the opposite effect typically seen in plants treated with commerically cultured biologicals, which reduce root zone biodiversity even though they can be beneficial to crops.
